1.Bhata / Pakhal Bhata ( water rice)

Most people in Odisha love prefer pakhal bhata to Bhata. we all know what is Bhata it is steamed rice but the Pakhala Bhata is prepared by soaking cooked rice in water, and left overnight this special item is often served with Badi Chura, papad, fried fish, and potatoes. 2. Besara:- This authentic Odia dish is prepared by adding a variety of vegetables like:- potato, pumpkin, banana, and papaya.  The basic ingredient that gives a unique flavour to this dish is mustard seeds, cumin seeds, garlic, and dry chili.

3. Tomato poda chutney (khatta): -

The Khatta of Odia comes in wide varieties. Khajur khatta, Tomato Khatta, and Mango Khatta are the most popular among them.  The ingredients such as tomato, green chilies, punch – phutana, turmeric powder, oil, and taste are common use to prepare khatta.

4. Chakuli: - Chakuli is a special dish from Odisha quite similar to Dosa but different. It is prepared using a batter made with equal portions of lentils (Urad Dal) and rice (soaked ground and fermented for at least 5 hours. Sometimes black lentils (skinless) are used in place of Urad Dal. As compared to Dosa it remains thicker and softer. It is served especially with Ghuguni and tastes well.



5. Khakaru Phoola Bhaja: – (Pumpkin Flowers Fritters)-

It is the most popular Odisha food. It is prepared using pumpkin flowers, green chili, cloves, garlic, mustard oil, salt, soaked rice, turmeric powder, etc. It is mostly served with steamed rice.

6. Jaau Kheeri: - It is another famous sweet cuisine of Odisha, prepared with broken rice, milk, and sugar.
